Offered for sale is a beautiful vintage PYREX HOSTESS SET, consisting of a 2 1/2 quart serving bowl, item #025 and a 12 ounce ramekin or custard cup, item #410. Together they form the Hostess Chip & Dip set. The only part that is missing is the metal clip that holds the small bowl above the rim of the large one, for a compact serving set. Both pieces are made of white PYREX milk glass, with a glossy turquoise blue painted finish on the exterior surfaces. The bowls are in excellent condition. The large 025 bowl measures 9 1/4 inches (23.5cm) from side to side, 10 3/4 inches (27.3cm) corner to corner, and stands 3 1/4inches (8.2cm) tall at the rim. It has a 2 1/2 quart (appx. 2.37 liters) capacity. The small one measures 4 3/4 inches (12.1cm) side to side, 5 1/2 inches (14.0cm) corner to corner, and stands 1 7/8 inches (4.8cm) tall at the rim. A U.S. quarter is shown in the first two pictures, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. The large bowl is marked in raised relief on the bottom as follows: 025 2 1/2 QT.TRADE MARK50 PYREX (R)MADE IN USAOVENWARE The small one is marked 410 -- 12 OZ.TRADE MARK5 PYREX (R)MADE IN USAOVENWARE There are no chips or cracks anywhere on either bowl, and the inner and outer surfaces are free from scratches. There are no gouges or cooking stains. The set is used, but looks brand new.
