I was taught the art of Pysanky by my Ukrainian grandmother when I was a child and have enjoyed it all my life. I have taught my children, and taught many classes and given lots of shows and exhibits over the years. I use the traditional process of applying layers of hot beeswax and multiple dye baths. The designs and symbols are very meaningful to me and remind me of some of the favorite patterns that my grandmother also used. The eggs are carefully blown to empty the contents through one hole and clear coated at least five times to preserve the color and beauty and add strength and high gloss to the shell. It will provide many years of enjoyment, and would be a treasured gift. I prefer Paypal but I will accept money orders.
