You are looking a Qing Imperial Edict/Decree issued by Emperor Guang Xu ( 1873-1908) as a service award to the court official's family. This item was bought at the antique store in Beijing back in 2002 and had been stored in an anti-moisture cabinet since. It is currently in Shanghai as I am an expatriate and had been seconded to China, so I brought it along with me....I am not an antique sales for reproduction or replica. The script was issued on 02Oct1899 (the 27th year of Guang Xu), which contains both Mandarin on the right and Manchurian on the left to ensure consistency of the edict's purpose along with 2 seals in the center. Both left and right of the script contains 2 pearl coloured dragons, which was for the prevention of forgery as the colour varies from different viewing angles. Script's material is in silk on the face and raw paper material in the back to support the the intact. T had been some loosening on the raw paper and silk threads, and fold lines on the scripts, which existed when I bought them. Nevertheless, it is in overall good condition. Given I am not an antique professional, I cannot produce you with the condition/appraisal report...nor to give 100% guarantee on the authentication of the item. The winning bidder shall be payable within 3days after the sale concludes. I have right to remove you from bidding read more
