Welcome to my auction! Up for bids is a vintage set of genuine TELEFUNKEN 12ax7/ecc83 Smooth Plate tubes/valves labeled "The Fisher". The print on these are fair, some print loss. All were pulled from a vintage Fisher amplifier with little use. Nice clear glass, gettering looks like NOS, all pins are straight and clean, and no loose particles. Mutual conductance tested on my calibrated B&K 747 tester at the following values. 105/109, 104/107, 110/106, & 107/110. All four also testing negative for shorts and grid emissions/gas. These are among the highest values for Telefunken smooth plates I've seen on my tester, two tightly matched pairs. All four have identical plate structure and date codes LG. Don't be fooled by other auctions that claim high readings on a typical grid emissions tester, mutual conductance is the "REAL DEAL". I've purchased tubes on Ebay myself claiming 100% -120% which tested 70% on my calibrated B&K 747. These tubes are truly in the early springtime of their life! Ideal in the TONE and PHASE INVERTER sections of your vintage amplifier. Telefunken smooth plate tubes open up a whole new experience in LIVE SOUND w you can dicern every instrument, it's placement, and enjoy true to life vocal reproduction that is as sweet as it gets! These also have been tested in pairs in the tone stage of a FISHER X-100-B integrated amplifier. All ran very quiet/no microphony, and sounded excellent. Nice detail and a beautifully layered soundstage at which the Telefunken smooth plates are legendary. These tubes are as close to NOS as you will find and have many years of life left. As with all my auctions of vintage electronics, these are also being sold as is. Check out my feedback though, I wouldn't be listing these tubes if they were anything less than perfect.
