EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL & EXQUISITELY DETAILED WHITE PORCELAIN TALL FIGURINE OF SEMI-NUDE WOMAN I am very happy to be offering this extremely beautiful and exquisitely detailed semi-bisque porcelain semi tall nude woman by one of the Worlds best Porcelain manufacturing companies ever to produce some of the most detailed and perfectly proportioned figurines ever made by the name of Vista Allegre which is a company found in Portugal. For those that don't know this company or its reputation, it is arguable the best maker of the highest grade and quality porcelain products in the world that no other company in the world can make better porcelain but only equal to Vista Allegre (VA) porcelains. VA was found in 1815 by Pinto Basto and continued to as recently as 2009 when it was sold to Visabeira. Back in 1829 it obtained the title “Royal Factory” to honor their artistic ability and their success. Their Golden Period for VA was from late 19th century until WWI. After WWI and WWII, in 1947 though 1967 the family took the company production line internationally. In 1906 the factory and the museum of Vista Alegre had become a necessary place to visit and even to some it was a pilgrimage. Thousands of people visited and among the many visitors there were many outstanding personalities that visited the museum that included presidents of the republic, representatives of the nobility, bishops, and archbishops, Portuguese ministers, and foreign diplomats, among many many others. To continue their family success, in 1985 VA came up with the concept of a collector club with a 2,500 limit on production for the items offered to the club members. Their figurines to present day products were/are considered luxury works of art and highly prized, were/are very expensive and yet still very desirable, highly collectable from early in their company's history to present day. If interested you can find more about this fantastic company's history and production line by search the internet. From ca 1850s to present approximately 1992 their makers mark never changed with an “VA”, over “Portugal”. This piece is a perfect example of the creativity, artistry, and craftsmanship that this company produced through its very long history! Not do I have have the good luck of having only one of these tall all white figurines, I have three and each one different! I am listing all three separately that way you can take just one or two or all three of these exceptional luxury semi-nudes by Vista Allegre. Based on my research, I would estimate these rare exceptional alluring beautiful semi-nude woman date to ca 1950s plus/minus. The first Vista Allegre semi-nude figurine being offered stands a touch over 11” tall and at the widest, being the base, measures 3 5/8” across. The base is also marked incised on the bottom with the “VA”, “Portugal”, and “E1”, and in pencil an “M”. Above. I mentioned these are semi-bisque figurines and this one as well as the other two are not nearly as rough. Assuming they are bisque as I was told, they are not like any bisque figurine I have every seen. I have numerous German bisque figurines and while pretty in their own right, cannot hold a candle to these beauties like these beauties! The biggest difference is the their texture of the German piece are much more coarse that these! I cannot do this exquisite figurine justice in words, so I hope the photos are good enough to do this and the others justice. I still want to point out some of the details that might be hard to see in the photos. This splendid semi-nude woman is bare footed that shows each individual toenails are defined as well as fingernails if the fingers are showing. From the scarf and her hair shows she's being blown by a wind and her body language suggests she's cold, after all she is in some sort of thin toga outfit. Her toga is extremely well defined as well. While her head is bent downward to fight off the cold makes it difficult to see, but her eye lids are seen...
