ATTIC CLEAROUT; I'm having an absolute clearout of my attic and finally selling my family's collectables; You are bidding for my GRANDMOTHERS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING QUALITY GERMAN PORCELAIN FIGURINE SET. This was an incredibly expensive item that my Grandmother guarded meticulously. THIS FIGURINE SET IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY AND STANDARD, In my opinion up there with Dresden and Meissen. Its made by AELTESTE VOLKSTEDTER PORZELLANMANUFAKTURE, I'm not sure when. I'm not aware of the exact price new but similar figurine groupings are made and sold today with prices ranging from euros!!!!!!! The item consists of three figurines in elegant 1700's style finery, taking coffee or tea. The colours are all hand painted and the blue colour wash contrasted against the hand painted gilt is EXQUISITE. There is such attention to detail in this piece, blushing on necks, great eye and face detail. THIS ITEM SMACKS OF QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP. Measures approx. 15cm x 14 cm. In good condition, no crazing no chips or cracks, hand painting in good condition, the gentlemans got a finger missing behind the chair, I almost missed that because its not obvious and there's a cup missing off the table. But despite these loses THE PIECE STILL HAS GREAT VALUE AND IS OF IMPORTANCE. I cannot date the piece although someone has suggested 1970's. The current web site has a state carriage in similar colours but its not for sale in the current range. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THIS ITEM COST OVER £500 NEW!!! This piece is a MUST FOR A SERIOUS COLLECTOR OF QUALITY GERMAN PORCELAIN.
