We use this table in all our listings 1. LOW PILE This is more tactile than visual. If you run your hands over the pile you may feel some areas are a bit coarser. This is low pile, where the pile isn’t as new as it once was but it hasn’t gone through to the back warp. It is of little significance and doesn’t often occur on machined carpets but we will mention it if it does. 2. WEAR This is when the pile has worn low enough to show the thin white lines of the back warp. We do not often buy carpets with significant wear especially machined ones but we will mention it and photograph it if it occurs. Also we try to approximately locate and size it as frequently you may put this section under furniture where it won’t show. 3. FADE All vintage carpets may fade slightly from new, but machined carpets usually hold colours bright and true. Uneven fade would be mentioned, so would significant fade but mostly are carpets are pretty crisp and clear.
