Lakeside General Merchandise more of our No Reserve Auctions! Quart, Pint, and Half Pint Scroll Flasks, GIX with Applied Lips Up for sale is this gorgeous lot of 3 sparkling mint GIX Scroll flasks with iron pontils and applied lips. This set of 3 displays so nicely together that we just didn't want to break them up! These were each purchased over some years time, with an eye towards quality and character- finest possible examples! If you know scroll flasks, then you know that you probably only see about one with an applied lip for every 10 you see with the usual sheared lip treatment. Also, we believe that most all the scroll flasks with the fleur-de-lis design are less common than those with the usual scroll and stars design. The half pint is a fleur-de-lis, and it has an applied double collared lip, so we're guessing that it's likely a scarce flask with this lip treatment. (We paid about $150 for that one alone some years ago.) We're not sure of the group numbers on these, so you might find something here that's even rarer than we realize. Details Color : Each is a nice Blue Aqua, on the deeper side, with the half pint having a touch of green aqua. Appearance : Shiny, Crude whittly glass with lots of bubbles in each, with the quart flask being incredibly whittled. Each has full luster, likely never in the ground. Condition : Each bottle is perfect or about perfect. Measurements : About 6 and 1/4 inches tall, 2 and 7/8 inches wide at the widest point. Embossing : Scrolls and stars on the quart and pint with Fleur De Lis on half pint flask Lip/Neck Treatment : Applied lip with wide flat band on quart flask, applied double collared lip on pint and half pint. Base/Body : Iron Pontil on each Age : Scroll Flasks were produced primarily between 1830 and 1860, say circa 1845.
