Stalactitic Quartz with Chlorite inclusions - Location: Irai¸ Rio Grande do Sur¸ Brazil. Small Cabinet. This area is famous for the very aesthetic calcite and amethyst crystals that occur in cavities in the volcanic rock Basalt. Here we have something relatively new and in my opinion rather aesthetic. We have a specimen of darker green colored 'stalactitic' quartz with the green color coming from chlorite inclusions. The quartz forms as 'stalactites' of darker green colored quartz with the green color from inclusions of dark green chlorite. All in all this is rather aesthetic as well as 'different'. As for those interested in the metaphysical aspects of this quartz¸ I get really energized just looking at this piece.
