Queen Anne Style TIGER MAPLE DRESSING TABLE Circa late 19th / early 20th Century. Possibly Philadelphia? Approximate dimensions: height 29in; width 30in; depth 19in. Attractive Tiger-Maple veneer to the front and sides, showing some wear and a few age cracks. One section of veneer on the side shows a crack which may have been from an old repair; stylish Queen Anne curved legs, adorned with shell designs and paw-like feet. The Left-front leg having an old repair and a minor ding; Unique finish to the top, appearing to show remnants of an old staining and having a rectangular veneer patch. PROVENANCE: Hitching Post Antiques, Dallas, Texas (a card found inside states this piece was purchased in 1947 for $550. ); Bonham's Auctioneers and appraisers, who previously estimated this piece at $1,000 - $1,500 .
