Since 1922, Queen Cutlery has striven to remain one of the oldest and most trustworthy American knife companies. They produce mostly traditional patterns of folding and fixed blade knives under their name as well as the Schatt & Morgan line of knives. They still use some of the old Schatt and Morgan equipment, tooling and processes and are respected for their high quality vintage style pocketknives and hunting knives in the U.S. today.
The Button Lock, Folding Hunter with Cocobolo wood handle is an example of the fine workmanship that goes into each design. Measures 5-1/4" closed with a 4" clip point and a 4" upswept blade both with a nice satin finish. Cocobolo wood scales, nickel silver bolster and brass liners compliment each other well. Slip joint, round queen shield. Weighs 6.9 oz. Made in the U.S.A.
I bought this knife years ago at SMKW (Smoky Mountain Knife Works) in TN. when I was buying (almost weekly) a new knife to add to my then growing collection of knives. I believe this knife was an exclusive for the SMKW. Date on the blade is 199(?)...Cannot see the last number as the bolster covers it & makes it impossible to see, but it is probably 1991 or 1992 as those were the times I visited SMKW.
This knife is in great condition as I have tried to show in the pictures provided.
The blade still has the factory edge on it (which is very sharp).
Box / plastic bag shown in pictures included.
