This would be a thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates the history of aviation. Many airline pilots, military pilots, and astronauts are Quiet Birdmen. This large stained glass plaque was commissioned by me in the late 1980's for a personal friend who was a QB. It is striking and one of a kind. The personalization was etched in the glass using paste glass etching compound. The same chemical could be used to etch a small area over the existing name, so a new name or name of a QB Hangar could be applied with a permanent marker or engraved brass plaque. It is 38" wide overall, and 13" high. We have successfully shipped stained glass panels using firm blue insulation with plywood frame. When we know destination, we will determine actual shipping costs including insurance, and we will only charge the actual cost. Pick up is welcome for a bidder in Western WA.
