Quimper “Soleil” Plates Here is a pair of charmingluncheon (or salad) plates made in France by Quimper! There’s a pair- one each of the lady and one of the gentleman in their traditional Breton costumes. The pattern is a charming French floral border against a yellow background. Quimper began making these in 1930. The plates are octagonal and measure 9 1/8” in diameter. Condition - Used but excellent. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or utensil marks. Note - The pictures in this listing do not accurately depict the color of the plates. Our camera had a tough time picking up the tint of color. They are a bright shade of yellow in normally lit room.
