R. BARBI DUBLIN WITH AMBER COLORED STEM *EXCELLENT* NR
Ranier Barbi is a self taught pipe carver widely recognized as one of the best in the world today. Although German, his influences are clearly Danish. we have an example of an eighth bent Danish style dublin with an amber colored lucite stem. This gem is graded AC, and has the RB in the stem. It also carries the number 892 on the shank. The grain on this pipe is splendid, and the birdseye on the rim superb. This beauty measures about 5.6 inches long and 1.8 inches tall, with a tobacco chamber about 0.80 inches in diameter. The width of the bowl is about 2.2 inches at the widest point.
