R.C. Gorman Unframed 1980 Print with Double Signature

This unframed print is dated 1980 with R.C. Gormanâe(tm)s signature inthe lower left. Additionally, t is a second signature which, under magnification, appears to have been signed using a dark graphite pencil in the lower right. Before moving to Taos, R.C. Gorman enjoyed an active career in several venues. The Navajo Indian Council awarded Gorman their first scholarship to study art abroad. Gorman used the scholarship to study for a year in Mexico City. At that time, the contemporary Indian art movement as we know it today was nonexistent. R.C. Gorman became one of the Southwest's best known late 20th-century artists. He was called the âeoePicasso of American Artâe by the New York Times. He died at the age of 74 in 2005. This print measures 24 x 18 inches and is in perfect condition.
