Hello. My name is Ray McCarthy. My wife and I had the good luck to win a trip to France a few years ago. Believe me, that's the only way we could afford to go. While we were t we discovered the Laguiole knife. Laguiole is a small village in France w they have made knives for generations. This is the R. David Laguiole and it is outstanding. They make a few of these "Le Select" knives, and they are absolutely gorgeous. Please look closely at the pics. I have uploaded several pics from as many angles as possible to give as good a feel as possible for the quality of this fine piece of folding cutlery. This knife comes with one clip style blade. The blade is made of 12 C 27 Swedish stainless steel. The R. David Laguiole name is stamped on the tang. The special Le Select trade mark is also engraved in the face of the blade. The stainless steel bolster of this knife is adorned with a detailed engraving of a wild boar. The back spring is also hand filed in a beautiful symmetrical pattern. The trademark bee sits atop the back spring and is the distinct tell tale sign of a true Laguiole knife. The scales of this knife are made from Buffalo Horn. This is a large knife. It is 4 and 3/4 inches in length while in closed position. This knife is in Mint condition. Only out of the box for pics. Never used, sharpened or carried. Comes complete with a butter soft carrying sheath and the original factory box.
