It is my pleasure to be offering this rare and gorgeous statuette by R.Lalique. Her name is Moyenne Voilee , created in 1912 . In deep opalescent glass with a soft blue patina . She is so graceful and elegant, just breathtaking. The fine features of her face, a small curl down the back of her neck, the flowing folds of her gown, gently pressing a glass to her chest, all this and more show the detail in Rene Lalique's geniusThe mold is very crisp, leading me to believe it was one of the very early ones to be made. She is in excellent condition. T is a tiny straw line on the back of her thigh, mentioned only to be absolutely accurate. No chips or cracks!! The base is beautifully signed on the side in script R.Lalique France ( I rubbed a bit of graphite on it for the photos to bring it out more, but cleaned it off again) The statuette is 5 1/2" (14cm) tallReference: Catalogue Raisonne by Felix Marcilhac.
