Third edition seventh printing (21st impression overall) of J R R Tolkien's The Hobbit published by Allen & Unwin in 1972; hardcover with very good replica dust jacket, not price clipped (shows £1.75) in a book that itself is bright, square, unmarked and in very good condition. A good read and a great writer. Seldom has any book been so widely read and loved as J.R.R. Tolkien's classic tale, The Hobbit. The Hobbit is, therefore, an ideal book for annotation: as well as offering a marvellous and entrancing story, it introduces the reader to the richly imagined world of Middle-earth, a world more fully and complexly realised in The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion. *The replica dust jackets are produced from first edition originals. The originals have been scanned digitally into high resolution files and then restored (taking away all nicks and chips etc.). The restored read more
