A genuine 1st Edition 1st Printing 1938 ex-library iteration of the Hobbit. As with all 1st Edition 1st prints of the Hobbit, the book depicts a bowing hobbit on the title page, and misidentifies chapter VII as chapter VI on page 118.It has an extremely rare illustrated hardcover binding - you are unlikely to find an example of this elsewhere, and it makes for a uniquely handsome addition to any collectors bookshelf. The pages have not developed any signs of foxing. It does have some of the expectant wear of a library copy, with some minor page tears. Overall fair to good condition for a well read copy. The inside covers reflect stampings indicating the library from where it originated (Ogden, Utah). The binding does not contain maps. I have endeavored to reflect this in the price. No reserve this time!!Please do not hesitate to ask any questions if you have any.Check out my other listing - a copy of First UK edition, First printing copy of CS Lewis' The Magician's Nephew. I also have first edition, first printing American copies of all seven Narnia books. Please message me if interested and would like to make an offer. I have not listed them up yet.Good luck and thank you!
