Note: "emovieposter" is only on our digital image, NOT on the actual item. Also, we are changing our photography setup! Images with a solid black background are ones that were photographed on our new black metal background. We now hold the posters in place with magnets (so we do not have to attach the poster to the wall in any way), which are small and round and resemble "push pins", but we assure you they are NOT! If an image has a black background, know that the odd circles in the edges of the item are magnets that hold it in place, and are NOT a defect! An Original Vintage Theater-Used Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") from You Can't Take it With You, the 1938 Frank Capra romantic family comedy (Best Director & Best Picture Academy Award winner) starring Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Edward Arnold, Mischa Auer, Ann Miller, Spring Byington (in her nominated for Best Supporting Actress Academy Award role), and Lillian Yarbo
Overall Condition: very good. T was a 2" tear in the left center of the top border that was repaired with tape from the back. T was a 1" tear near the middle of the left border that was repaired with tape from the back, and t is a faint diagonal crease that continues from that tear into Barrymore's hair. T are some creases in the edges of the blank borders. T is a pinhole in the center of the top and bottom borders and tiny surface paper loss at the bottom of the "WA" of "EDWARD" in the bottom credits.
Want to know more about the condition of this item? This card has survived in pretty nice condition, but has some relatively minor imperfections. If they are within the image, they are not very distracting at all, or they may be in the blank borders, w they will not show when the lobby card is displayed. We may have written a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are relatively minor, and you can likely see them by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual card (if they are the type that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized image, like faint water staining or tape on the back, we ALWAYS describe that in words). Lobby Cards measure 11" x 14" and were almost always printed in sets of 8 (some lower budget movies only had a set of 4). Many lobby card sets (usually pre-1970 sets) have a "title card". A title card normally has artwork and the credits from the movie, and is different in appearance from the other seven cards in the set. The artwork is usually the same as that of the artwork on one of the styles of half-sheet. It is very difficult to find complete lobby card sets from pre-1970 movies, as almost all of these were long ago broken up and sold by the individual card. Special Notes About Our Current 700 Items... [Hide Details ] A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE ITEMS IN OUR CURRENT TITLE & SCENE LOBBY CARD AUCTION:
