Kernow Model Ships HMS CROSSBOW 1960 'Weapon' class destroyer built by Thornycroft at Woolston and completed in 1948. Converted to a radar picket 1958-59. Now 2,280 tons, armed with 4-4in, 4-40mmn guns, Squid ASW mortars. Broken up at atBriton Ferry in 1971. 1:1250 scale metal model made in Austria by Trident Alpha, No. Ta 10021. It is 3.3in (8.7cm) long, reasonably well detailed and in good condition. This range of models is long out of production. Models are carefully packed in strong boxes to prevent damage during transit .
