You are bidding on this unbelievably gorgeous pair of costume earrings. They look like the fine jewelry of old. You can catch the light of these from across the room, truly. I can understand why the “Jewels of India” pieces are so sought after. Very elegant, the faux emeralds glow like chrysophase. All the rhinestones are present in this pair. They are approx. 2“ long, the gold is in excellent condition. The one flaw is that one of the green stones was set in slightly askew. It is not loose, but should perhaps be reset if you plan to wear these often. This jewelry was inspired by the rich gems and craft work of the Moghul empires. If you ever saw a photo of a Majarajah bedecked in jewels, then you know the men dripped in gems as much as any woman of the royal courts. I have included some antique photos of this period, they are not included with the earrings. They are just to show the era these are taken from.
