RAF AIRCREW METAL WHISTLE I'm selling stuff because I'm cripplingly broke. Some bits are a real wrench to sell and this is one of them. Anyway, you don't want to know about my personal problems, so on with the description. These whistles were, I think, issued to RAF aircrew who had flown a certain amount of missions with Bomber Command, and then worn on the battledress. I'm not an expert and could be wrong, so please correct me if I am. The plating has worn away in many areas, so it's obviously been used or worn. It carries the Royal crown on one side, with the stamp 'A.M' and '23/230.' On the other side, it's stamped with '293/14/L1795,' although I have absolutely no idea what this means. Ask any other questions you may have, though, and I'll try to answer them as best I can.
