YOU ARE BIDDING ON A BLUE CAMEL WITH THE WRINKLED KNEES BY KNICKERBOCKER FROM THE BOOK TITLED “RAGGEDY ANN AND ANDY AND THE CAMEL WITH THE WRINKLED KNEES” FIRST PUBLISHED IN 1924This is a very old (1976), very used, very played with, very loved Blue Camel with the Wrinkled Knees stuffed animal. He is a light colored blue with patch quilts on his body. He originally had elastic to make his knees baggy and wrinkled, but the elastic in his legs have lost their spring. He really is not in very good condition. He has no rips or tears and his material does not looked stained, but his red bridle is torn and looks pretty raggey and the stuffing in his neck does not work any more and he can’t hold his head up. Please look at pictures. Although pictures No. 2, 3, and 4 show him “sitting,” he tends to fall down and look like he does in picture No. 1. The original book depicted the camel as a white stuffed toy, whose legs were saggy and wrinkled. In the mid 1970’s, the animated movie “Raggedy Ann and Andy, a Musical Adventure” featured the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees, only this time, he was depicted as a light blue color because the blue color was much easier to animate than the white. T aren’t many of these around in any condition. THIS COMES FROM A SMOKE-FREE HOME I do my best to describe the item in detail and to the best of my abilities.
