is a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine, vintage Railroad Hat, in new, unused condition!

A Genuine, Made In USA, Big Smith Brand, Railroad Hat! Size Ex-Large 7 1/2

These were probably manufactured in the late 1940's, or early 1950's, according to the Union made tag, with a patent date of 1949! Several boxes of a dozen hats each, were discovered in the loft of an old, closed hardware store, in Kansas City, Missouri, a big railroad town, in its day. The hats were all new, in sealed boxes, stored in a dry area, with no damp or mildew smells. Hats are in perfect, as new, condition! No defects!

Two years ago, I auctioned a couple dozen of these hats, in smaller sizes, on eBay and sold all of them. Many ebayers emailed me, asking if I had larger sizes available, which I did, but was saving them for myself and my vintage railroading friends, w we actually portray railroaders of a bygone era, and operate vintage steam locomotives, hauling passengers in vintage heavyweight passenger cars, and sometimes freight cars. Several of my friends, such as Conductor Fred, and most of the crew of the Michigan Steam Railroad Institute, in Oswego, Michigan, are using these "Big Smith Railroad Hats"!
