You are bidding on an Adlake Kero that is marked EL for Erie Lackawanna Railway. This is a hard to find lantern. The EL was formed in 1960 with the merger of the Erie RR and the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western RR. This lantern was produced in 1964 and kerosene lantern use started to be phased out in the late 1960s. This lantern is in nice shape, with just regular service wear. Everything works. The clear globe is not marked. The only real issue is the fact that a previous owner electrified it and that resulted in some vent holes being drilled out on the bottom of the lantern on the hinge side. See photo. A great, hard to find piece for the EL or railroad lantern collector. Shipping is flat rate $14 which gets Priority Mail insured. Please note that I ship only to U.S. addresses.
