For auction is a collection of three kerosene railroad lanterns, a switch lamp, and a "end of the track" lantern (five lanterns total). My father-in-law was a total railroad buff and these were part of his collection. (See my other items listed.) First lantern is a D.&R.G.R.R. lantern with burner and embossed globe. The top says "The Handlan" Buck Mfg. Co. St. Louis. The globe is embossed with D&RG RR. Just add kerosene and it lights. Lamp 2 says C&NWRY and ADLAKE on the top. The globe is embossed R&R into the glass. With burner and wick. I think this one would light too. Lamp 3 says U.P. RR and Adlake KERO on the top. The Globe is like new and embossed with D&RG RR. It has a burner and wick and I think would light if filled with kerosene. Lantern 4 is a 12" tall unusual lamp with a blue ripple glass lense. It says ADLAKE on top and has a fancy brass burner (see picture with the sliding door up.) It has a wick and would probably light if filled with fuel. The fifth is an ADLAKE switch lamp? with no lense or burner. I am selling these for my mother-in-law. I am not a railroader, so don't know too much more about them.
