I built these vans for a previous layout and they are now surplus to my requirements. Each van has the following spec:Kit source: Ratio, ref 541.Wheels: Metal 3-hole disc by Gibson or Kean-MaygibAxles: Pinpoint running in brass bearing cupsCouplings: Exactoscale sprung loaded 3 linkRoof colour: GreyBody colour: Brown with Geest livery. Each van carries a different running number.Solebar colour: BlackDuring a house move, 8 out of the 20 buffers on these vans were damaged. I have replaced all 8 with spares from my scrap box so each van is complete again. As a result, some vans now carry a mix of buffer types but this was not unheard of on the real railway because of rough shunts, accidents etc. While I was building these vans, I experimented with different weights using lead ballast. Consequently, some vans weigh more than others but the complete rake runs fine through finescale pointwork whether hauled or propelled.I will include in the sale one of the original kit boxes which contains the assembly instructions and diagram and also the remains of two sprues which still have the parts to make two tension lock couplings. These could be fitted to the outer ends of the rake, if required.
