Randall Model 16 "Diver's Knife" 7" Stainless Steel Blade Upper Edge Notched for Thumb Placement Sharpened Upper Edge at Tip Single Nickel Silver Hilt Fingered Black Micarta Handle w/ Lanyard Waxed Brown Sullivan Model B "no hone" Sheath Correctly Stamped 16w Plain Salmon Sharpening Stone Never Used / Never Carried / Never Sharpened Near Mint Condition ********** Custom Carry Case: Beautiful 100% Water Buffalo Hide (the carry case is also brand new & extremely supple) General information on this model from the Randall site: Model 16 "Diver's Knife" -- 7" blade of 1/4" stainless steel stock. Top cutting edge sharpened. 4 1/2" Black Micarta handle, similar to model 14 and 15. (Green micarta handle material available upon request.) Brass hilt, single or double, (please specify). Wrist thong through brass ferrule in handle. (Name etching, name plate, sawteeth and nickel silver hilt only extra features available.) Designed especially for heavy duty salt water use, this knife is as nearly indestructible as possible. Top of blade in top of hilt notched for thumb placement. (Wt. 14 oz.) A special wax impregnated belt loop sheath or nylon sheath supplied. My summary: a near mint condition Randall 16 Diver's knife set up in the following manner: 7" stainless blade that's notched on the top for thumb placement, single nickel silver hilt and a fingered black micarta handle w/lanyard. The knife is mint but for extremely light handling on the hilt -- it's certainly unused, and has not been stored in the sheath. Flawless blade, handle, etc. The sheath is a waxed brown Sullivan model B "no hone" -- without knife storage and in "as new" condition. All lanyards included. A plain salmon stone is also included. I've upgraded the carry case to something a bit more custom: it's a gorgeous full water buffalo hide case -- extremely supple and, like the knife... brand new. A deserving home for this terrific Randall diver.
The knife is very traditional looking without sawteeth and the double hilt. Aesthetically pleasing -- it looks like a diver and not a fighter. The nickel silver hilt is a nice upgrade -- I think the waxed Sullivan is a bit more practical for extended underwater / ocean use. Certainly, the entire package will give you added insurance during your next epic underwater adventure. Whatever your intentions, know you're looking at a super knife in next to new condition -- perfect for that diver knife collection you're not telling your wife about. Good luck.
