Brown Sullivan Model A Sheath Correctly Stamped 11 45 Fine India Sharpening Stone Never Used / Never Carried / Never Sharpened New Randall Carry Case Included Randall Care Sheet Included Excellent +++ to Near Mint Condition General information on this model from the Randall site: Model 11 "Alaskan Skinner" -- 4" blade of 3/16" stock, 4 ½"-5" blades of 1/4" stock. 4 1/4"-5/8" leather handle. Brass hilt. Duralumin butt cap. The original drop-point blade. Designed by Tommy Thompson, noted Alaskan guide, in 1952 for big-game skinning, with point dropped below top of blade to prevent cutting too deeply through skins when used point first. Top of blade in front of hilt notched for thumb placement. (Wt. 4"=5-6 oz., 4 ½"-5"=7-8 oz.) My summary: Randall Alaskan Skinner with the 4.5" tool steel blade, brass hilt, and.... really nice stag . The tool steel is standard issue and seems to be "field preferred". This blade is near perfect with it's original edge - a couple of very light spots by the hilt on the logo side you just can't see unless you can catch them in direct light. The brass hilt is "as new". The stag handle is what makes this knife; if you're looking for dark, deep cut, pristine stag on your Randalls... this is the one to pick. It's gently curving, and feels very comfortable in either hand. No checks, chips or cracks -- perfect condition. The sheath is a Sullivan model A with some darkness at the throat to indicate past knife storage. The tie down lanyard is present. Can't say much else -- it's just a "distraction free" Randall skinner with dark gnarly stag. I'm calling it excellent +++ to near mint -- just depends on how you choose to grade the in sheath storage. Knife will be shipped "out of sheath" with the care sheet in the new Randall carry case you see in the photos. Nearly new without the wait -- it's definitely ready for action. Good luck.
