General information on this model from the Randall site:

Model 11 "Alaskan Skinner" -- 4" blade of 3/16" stock, 4 ½"-5" blades of 1/4" stock. 4 1/4"-5/8" leather handle. Brass hilt. Duralumin butt cap. The original drop-point blade. Designed by Tommy Thompson, noted Alaskan guide, in 1952 for big-game skinning, with point dropped below top of blade to prevent cutting too deeply through skins when used point first. Top of blade in front of hilt notched for thumb placement. (Wt. 4"=5-6 oz., 4 ½"-5"=7-8 oz.)
My summary: a beautiful Randall model 11 with a few very nice options for consideration. The knife is now in wonderful condition having just come back from the Randall shop after a little "refreshening". (the blade had a few spots and insertion marks I didn't like) True to form, the guys at RMK worked their magic once again. The Sullivan sheath is in great shape exhibiting no carry wear. 12 photos below that are accurate, but 's a description anyway: Randall "Alaskan Skinner" with a 4" tool steel blade notched on top for thumb placement, single nickel silver hilt that's squared on top, and the above-mentioned awesome looking stag handle. Again, the knife is like new -- just a touch of handling on the hilt but you'll have to look hard to find it. The sheath is a brown Sullivan model A that is stamped 11 4 on the back . T's a bit of discoloration at the throat -- the knife has been stored in the sheath at some point in the past. As photographed, the handle tie down lanyard is present. I've included a brand Randall Made Knives carry case so you have a safe place to store the knife when not in use. The knife will be shipped "out of sheath" in the case -- well protected and secure. As photographed, a Randall care sheet is included. All said and done: this is a great one for the collection or one hell of a user. Good luck.
