For sale is a sweet WWII vintage Model 1-7 All-Purpose Fighting Knife from Randall Made Knives. This knife dates to circa 1944, when the Randall shop was still using a chain link to secure the wrist thong. The knife comes with its original riveted Southern Saddlery sheath, which has been restitched and modified. The knife and sheath have been used and carried, but they are in great condition considering that they date to World War II.The tool steel blade is about 7 3/16 inches long. The blade has been used and sharpened, but it is still full. The blade has been been lightly cleaned at some point. The name of the original owner is etched on the blade, and it has an appealing patina.Brass double hilt.Leather handle, overall in very good shape, with some gouges, nicks and scratches as shown in the pictures.Aluminum butt cap with brass nut and chain link for a wrist thong. The knife comes with its original Southern Saddlery sheath, which has rivets at the throat and the original owner's name stamped on the reverse. The original stitching has been removed, and the sheath has been restitched with black thread. The stone pocket was removed and replaced with a decorative lattice--clever handiwork. The sheath has a tear near one of rivets, and the keeper has a nick, but the sheath is serviceable. This is great knife for a WWII Randall collection. Mid-war vintage, with chain link and Southern Saddlery sheath, carried and named. Shipping by USPS Priority with insurance will be 20.00.
