This is a set of the first three issues of Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2, translated by Gerard Jones and published by Viz in 1992. The magazine was among the earliest of manga translated for the U.S., and because it was among the most popular Japanese titles ever Viz decided to do something special... they colorized it. This decision lasted only three issues before they realized the error of colorizing a comic designed for black and white, and after displeasure had been voiced by both the original creator and the fans who had purchased the comics. The first appearances in U.S. comics of one of the world's most popular anime characters, the first official color version, and the beginnings of what was to become a long-running series in America have combined with the issue's smaller print run to create some of the hardest manga comics to find. ........................... Postage combined for multiple purchases. Delivery confirmation included on all domestic purchases.
