RAOUL DUFY-An original pochoir print from Stephane' Mallarme's "Madrigaux" published by La Sirene of Paris in June, 1920. It is number 15 of a suite of 25 prints for this limited edition of 1100. Produced on velin Lafuma de Voiron art paper. Taken from #172 of the edition of 1100. It portrays an elderly man and young woman in an opera box. Another example, available for L495 framed and shipped from the UK, may be seen at dufyprintsdotcom. Our example seems to have been pulled without the pink and pale blue screens. The legend on the reverse, regarding Monet, who," in order to experience the light lives and paints, winter and summer, in Giverny..." refers to the following page. Along the bottom of the print, in pencil, "Raoul Dufy-From Madrigaux, 1920 #172". In pencil on the backing, "Purchased from London Fine Arts Fisher Bldg. (Chicago) 196(4)?" London Fine Arts still exists in London but no longer has galleries in NY, Chicago, or Miami. We have removed the print, original mat and backing paper from the frame. The lower left corner of the frame had some minor damage and there is an area of discoloration to the extreme lower left margin of the mat , which, we are sure will not be evident when reframed. The original mat is 13 1/4"X16". The image itself is about 9"X12". We are offering the print and the original matting and backing read more
