Up for auction is a rare antique valentine. The Valentine is made by Raphael Tuck and Son, designed in England, printed in Saxony. (Publishers to her Majesty the Queen) The Valentine is in the shape of a cigarette case and has a back flap so it can stand up right. There is a small card shaped like 6 cigarettes with a cupid on the front. The cigarettes are marked acquaintance, friendship, love, courtship, marriage and happiness and when you open the card there is a small verse using each word. The small cigarette card measures 2 inch x 3.25 inch and slips into the outer card which measures 4 x 4 inch. Overall in very nice condition with no bends, folds or creases. slight foxing otherwise a nice example. Pictures should tell the story
