Rapido manufactured this CPR smoothside lightweight coach in several different road numbers in about 2008. This car number is 2261; the paint scheme is the CPR traditional maroon with Dulux Gold lettering. This is not a kit; it is a completed model in the original sealed box (never taken out or run) and includes battery-powered Rapido LED lighting for the interior of the coach, which does not flicker when crossing track joints or switches and does not use track power. There is a magnetic wand included in the box which is used to turn the coach lighting on or off, by individual car, so that a train in operation can be simulated with some cars closed off to passengers as would have happened in the prototype.There are separate grab irons, uncoupling levers, operating diaphragms at the car ends, and McHenry couplers, all applied during assembly of the model. There are also separate and removable marker lamps and car-end gates included, which you can chose to add or not add to each car. This model includes a fully-detailed coach interior with contrasting coach seat colors, as well as window shades. These models are very well done and quite sharp in overall appearance.
