I offer for sale, with NO RESERVE, this magnificent Pumpkin Marigold stemmed master fruit bowl or large open compote of exceptional beauty. The quality of the iridescence is second-to-none, and absolutely stunning. All photographs have been taken in natural daylight and have NOT been digitally altered in any way. This is the ONLY DOCUMENTED compote in this pattern! Made by the Czech manufacturer Josef Inwald probably around 1914, as this piece can be found in Inwald's 1914 catalog. It is part of the "Brilliant Medaillons" (aka Loop de Loop) Dessert Service. This is definitely European Carnival at its best! Measurements are 6.75" in height and just over 9" wide. T is one 3mm manufacturing fault on the rim (see photograph) and a tiny 3mm chip on the stem, which I have tried to photograph. Please read this wonderful article on Glen & Stephen Thistlewood's website for more information on this design and manufacturer: /carni_glass_uk_2000/loopdeloop.html You can see this actual piece on Glen & Stephen Thislewood's website too: /carni_glass_uk_2000/LoopdeLoopComp.html Many thanks to Glen & Stephen Thistlewood for all their research and for sharing their information, without their generosity I would not have been able to identify this compote. This is NOT the Imperial Diamond Ring pattern. Please see /diamondring.html for confirmation. Will accept International money orders, cashiers check, IN EUROS ONLY. Items will be sent when money has cleared through bank. WINNER PAYS FOR POSTAGE COSTS. PAYPAL PREFERRED. WILL POST WORLDWIDE Postage to the USA will be approximately US$40.00, including signed for delivery (4-6 days) and insurance of US$183.00.
