Excellent½ plate gutta percha Union case by Littlefield. Parsons & Co. Patented Oct. 14, 1856 and April 21, 1857 (see scan) Good tight hinges, no cracks or hairlines, one edge is very very slightly rounded, edge are sharp with no chips. Housed inside of case is a ½ plate tintype of a southern looking lady with a big hat, image has emulsion cracks on bottom but they are stable and not loose. Cases snaps shut tight and has no war age. A great addition to any case collectors addition and my understanding is that this is a rare and hard to find case. Case is black , scan has been lightened to show details better. Shipping is $7.50 in USA and $20.00 worldwide including Italy, France, Canada, Spain, Australia, Austria and South Korea. Case will be double boxed and includes insurance in USA.
