Many additional images available, please inquire. Very rare Victorian Crane & Theurer Montana sapphire and diamond 14K solid yellow gold hinged bangle bracelet with safety chain. Detailed open pierced leave decoration with bezel set gems. Notice the additional detail of engraved floral decoration near the clasp. The gems are all genuine (European cuts) measuring between 2.6mm and 2.8mm in diameter. Depth ranges from 2mm to 2.4mm. Marked "14K" with the Crane & Theurer hallmark inside the bracelet. Also maker numbered "5172" on the edge of the bracelet. Measures 2-1/2" inside diameter east/west, 2-1/8" inside diameter north/south. (7" inside circumference). The Montana sapphires were widely used at the turn of the century when the Yogo Gultch mines were discovered. These sapphires are known for their radiant blue color and are also referred to as "Cornflower Blue Sapphires". In excellent well babied condition, completely original including safety chain, with no repairs or alterations. The hinge and tounge-in-groove clasp both work well. Circa 1895-1900.

(partnered with William B. Kerr in 1880, w they established their business in New York City.
