The TK Collections brings to you another very rare antique which is being sold on consignment. This is another wonderful item being offered by a gentleman who is in the process of cleaning out 3 generations of family heirlooms. This particular item has been stored away for many years and has maintained an exceptional appearance. The only information he was able to find on this trike was that it was a 19th century trike and it is a very rare find Valued at 1200.00. Due to the fact that his children are not interested in his old antiques he is willing to sell at a price which is much lower than the historical value of the item. I did a little more research on the history of tricycles and found that the very first trike was made back in 1680 for a parapalegic man in Germany. That was the first Trike made with characteristics such as the one I am offering with hand levers which steer as well as propel the trike forward. The style of this trike leads me to believe that it was geared more towards the use as an old fashioned wheelchair for those who could not use their legs and could date earlier than the 1800's.
