This amazing find came out of the attic of an old Delaware County, N Y estate. It's a circa the 1850s salesman's sample Jenny Lind style trunk. Has the typical loaf of bread profile of the the Jenny Linds... also has all the original accoutrements... the metal bands... designed paper over pine exterior with oririnal wallpaper interior... original insert and original victorian image on the inside of the cover... all shown in our photos... this outstanding little trunk only measures 10" in length... 6 1/2" at the widest point when closed and 6 1/2" high when closed... with the cover open and insert removed it's only 4" deep... all ready for display or to hold your small antique doll if you like... we note mininal wear to the exterior paper... one leather handle missing... nothing that makes for major detraction... just a wonderful example of an early salesman's sample... We offer this fine item with no reserve other than a very modest starting bid. It will ship to anyw USA for $10.75 with insurance extra and charged according to value insured. International shipping will vary and some added fees and or restrictions may apply. In fairness to all we do not end auctions early to sell privately. Please do not ask us to do that. We know that some of the items we sell are quite rare and some are quite valuable. We offer insurance on all
