Lovely Estate Sterling Set of 12 Durgin Berry Forks "Watteau" T's something alluring about old estate sterling and this set is no exception. I love the rich, warm patina, the feel of quality in the hand, the early ornate pattern, and those elongated silver tines are charming! I love them. Berry Forks! They're just so dainty and finely crafted, perfectly tined, reflective of a past era w every single utensil had a separate function based on form and shape. Think they are truly wonderful. These Berry Forks came from a wonderful estate auction in the Midwest. Early Durgin, in the Watteau pattern, appropriately marked with raised scrolled "D, I have never had a complete set of 12 early Berry Forks, let alone from a Fine Sterling maker as Durgin. I think the full set of 12, coupled with the old early mark, and the rich warm patina makes these a bit rarer than one would assume. The Watteau pattern is great. Highly ornate. The scrolling of silver, the tiny bud floral motif and those great sterling tines are stunning in form and style. Measures: 4 3/4"L Ea. wt .04oz. Total set weight: 4.8oz Hand-script/scroll Monogram REA The condition is fantastic. The tines all have sharp point retention. The pattern is crisp and detailing is fine. The monogram script shows a careful hand, much like a jeweler's touch. I know these were well-cared for by the original family and passed down the generations as treasured family-heirloom pieces. I do not mind the unpolished patina and am selling this set in the exact condition as purchased. I believe these Durgin Berry Forks would make a superb addition to any set or collection of fine early pattern Sterling of the era. If you have any questions, I am happy to assist. I shall wrap your Durn Berry Forks with great care and ship them to you promptly in time to enjoy deliciously fresh berries over the Holidays. The new owner is to pay $8.00 for Fully Insured USPS Shipping within the United States. ALL MY THANKS! Happy Holiday Bidding! All cheers, A-
