Up for auction is this great rare vintage set of 19 pieces of the Tamac pottery from Perry Oklahoma that was made from 1946 to 1972. They produced simple, practical, free-form designs - meant for everyday enjoyment. This group is in the Avocado color which starts dark and goes up to a yellow-green top or center with the black ink back stamp. The set includes 5 barbeque or One-hander plates that are dinner plates and saucers blended into one piece with places for the silverware to lay. These are 15" long. These are quite unique to this company. T are 7 cups that have a most unique, organic design with an indention rather than a hole for your finger and are 10 oz cups. T is a 4 qt pitcher that actually holds 3 qts and two 16 oz tumblers. T are shakers and a sugar and creamer but no lid on this one. T are some characteristic problems that this pottery experiences shown in these pieces - some glaze pops, some crazing, a couple stress cracks - or more crazing - hard to differentiate - a chip on top rim of one cup and two bottom rim chips or two cups. These really are in good shape - but trying to mention anything that isn't mint about them. Quite wonderful and a terrific bargain. Great find and addition to your collection.
