A very important original 1916 calendar from the North American Brewing Company of Brooklyn, New York, 13 x 16 inches, which was located at the corner of Myrtle Hamburg and Greene Avenues, in superb condition. Having handled scores of high quality antique advertising and as a former frequent and dealer at the Indianapolis show, I can not recall ever seeing another or any other material on this company sans a few much later labels.A wealth of information in this calendar- It features a beautifully lithographed vignette of the company as well as two interesting photos of the interior brewing operation, the tank room and the bottling department, surrounded by sprays of hops. It also features the bottling department adress and the 4-digit New York phone number of the time. It is from the collection of a retired Georgia druggist and had been framed on his wall for close to 30 years and very carefully removed to photograph for this auction. It is unused and very fine with a full pad. T is a small moisture stain at the bottom right and a close, unobnoxious and barely visible 3/4 inch tear at the bottom left. T are some framer's hinge stains to the back as well. I tried to cover every inch in the photos, please see all. This is as nice as they come, offered at a very low start.
