Offered for your consideration is a 3 bulb art deco ceiling fixture that was made in the 1920`s and is marked HP 405. This fixture has been restored by a qualified lampsmith trained specifically in antique and vintage lighting. Our goal is to offer the highest quality restorations possible so every restoration starts by having the fixture bead blasted, this is done for several reasons. 1) It is the safest method available, the plastic beads can`t damage the details in the castings. 2) It removes every trace of paint, this brings out the all of the detail in the casting. 3) Every bit of rust and corrosion is removed so t is no chance of rust or corrosion bleeding through the paint at a later date. Hand stripping a fixture can damage delicate castings if you use a wire brush, paint is left in the finer details and it leaves the rust behind. The fixture was then sealed in a rust/corrosion inhibiting primer before being hand painted to a level of detail seldom seen on vintage lighting fixtures using using gold flake, antique copper, 2 shades of green and antique gold, even the back has been refinished. It measures 12 inches across and the drop is 4 inches measured from flush with the ceiling to the tip of the brass finial. Re-using 80 year old sockets is a safety hazard so the original porcelain sockets and cloth wiring have been replaced
