From a fabulous estate sale at a wonderful old house, I do not know the name of this pattern or who made this pair of candle holders or when. The previous owner's daughter believes that they date from the 1920's-1930's. Judging by the pattern and look of these stunning pieces, I think that is probably correct. Thanks to a very nice and more knowledgable ebayer, I now know that this pattern is called Wig Wam. It is shown in some depression glass books. The ones I checked don't have it - but that may be because it's "scarce to rare," according to the ebayer who emailed me. -- Please check my listings for a matching console bowl or vase since I am always happy to combine wins to save you on shipping costs. On one, however, I can feel some roughness in a couple of spots on the top and bottom edge. (I had hoped that the close-up would show something but they're still to tiny to see.) With read more
