Rare 1928 Steiff Elephant pin cushion

Up for auction is what I believe is a 1928 Steiff elephant pin cushion. I only say "believe" because I have done research and seen other Steiff elephants and this closely resembles the others I have seen. As it is a pin cushion it has many holes and as seen in pictures faded with some dark markings overall. Tusks are in good condition with no cracks or breaks. And what appear to be glass eyes are in good condition as well. No ear tag or button and has a slight lean to the left.
The elephant is 3 inches tall and 4 inches long. Tusks and seem to be plastic?
