Art Deco,, FIVE light chandelier made by Markel of Buffalo, New York in the 1930s.
It is wonderfully cast iron with it-s ORIGINAL old gold finish. Now the finish does show it-s age with some VERY minor paint thinning, and t, but not really more than usual for a light of this age. And actually...better than most lights of this age. It could be touched up...but as an antiquer...I would leave it alone and enjoy it-s antique ambiance. The shades are truly a joy for condition. NO cracks, NO chips and only the most slight roughness w they go into the light shade slot. They are all matching so nicely as well. In addition to the shades great condition the color is a true amber hue. This light has been completely re-wired and each socket can handle 60 watts. It works perfectly. I am not sure what is at the point of the fixture, it could have had a medallion at one time, or some design at the tip of the light; but otherwise, it appears in fine shape. This is a great light that will arrive completely re-wired and with all the mounting crossbar so it can be mounted and connected with nothing more to purchase. Payment: You must have Paypal to purchase from me. You must also pay within 48 hours from auction end; and include your telephone number so I will send the package out immediately via FEDEX. FEDEX requires that you sign for this if it is insured for over $400. I'll start the bidding at $199 without a reserve. Bid high and bid often, and bid with confidence as I strive to maintain my 100% positive feedback.
