This is another very rare and quite interesting original magazine of science and industry, in this case a 1939 issue of the "TIMKEN AXLE NEWS", published by The Timken-Detroit Axle Company of Detroit, Michigan and Wisconsin Axle Division of Oshkosh, Wisconsin....this is Volume 7. Number 1. in the series, and it features 12 pages overall, including the paper covers, with lots of interesting vignette views of the various uses of the Timken Axle designs at that time, including for Trucks, Tanks (with a nod to the up-coming war effort), and even in a series of images from the 1933-34 Chicago World's Fair and the "World of Tomorrow" at the New York World's Fair of 1939, showing a group of very Art Deco Streamline Moderne vehicles at the General Motors display and for Greyhound Buses as well, plus other statistical and business related information for the period in sales, etc...the magazine measures approx. 8 1/2" by 11" overall, and is in generally very good condition throughout, showing only minor edgewear, tiny corner bumps, and a bit of minor creasing and corner wrinkling, plus a neat crease along the center line from w it was folded for mailing, with the back cover still bearing the printed on label for the SOCONY-VAC.
