5" x 3 3/4" 1950's Plastic green and white Pez Space Gun. Nice looking stylized Pez candy dispenser. The word "PEZ" is printed twice on both sides of the Pez Space Gun Dispenser with embossed stars, a moon, a planet like Jupiter and a defined space ship traveling through space. The white cap at the end of the gun is marked, "Made in Austria, Pat Pen." The bottom of the space gun has a sliding door that houses a black plastic Pez candy cartridge holder with a red springed tongue to feed and store the candy. The Pez Space Gun is in very good condition. No chips, cracks, or breaks noted but t is one hairline mark at the back of the gun. It appears to be a casting flaw as it starts and stops at the "P" in Pez and continues on the other side. It in no way effects the guns great appearance. The cartridge tongue and spring are still resilient and appear to work properly. The bottom cap slides on and off properly and is secure. When the trigger is pulled out and then pulled, it makes a snapping noise so I am assuming it will shoot the Pez candy out of the rectangular hole at the end of the barrel. I did some research on this toy and discovered it could be bought in the 1950's at the store or it was available as a premium form Coca Marsh by sending off for it. This information came out of the 1994 "PEZ Collectible Price Guide Book" by Richard Geary. Neat and rare item for the advanced collector. Reasonable reserve!
